I have been wanting a wide, chunky chisel for ages. Their weight and size make them a perfect tools for precise paring and cleaning up joinery. Naturally, I couldn't pass on this beauty when I found it buried in a bucket full of crappy broken tools at my favourite junk shop. • • On close inspection I realised that it was made by Peugeot Frères. I couldn't find out in what period this was made, but I think it may be pretty old. I didn't want to turn it into a mirror finish high-gloss tool, so I flattened the back to make it usable and otherwise only sanded off the worst dings and dongs so that it becomes comfortable to use. I turned a handle from a nice piece of plum and didn't put a metal ring at the end - I'm not going to hammer this one. • • The resulting tool is very sharp and comfortable to use and I think it looks really good. But judge for yourself. • • Please subscribe if you enjoy my videos! • • Check out my Patreon page to support this channel and for additional content: • / imadethischannel • • Follow me on instagram: • / i_made_this_official
