The semi-automatic Goettfert MI-3 melt index tester (plastometer) has an integrated, fully loaded weight magazine with electrical weight lifting and manual weight selection. • Due to the high-precision displacement sensor, even very low or very high MFR/MVR-values can be recorded with high precision. The external piston guidance on the guide rod of the test weight makes it possible to measure even very sticky materials with high repeatability. The test chamber with exchangeable test barrels can be swivelled out for easy filling and cleaning. • The device offers users in quality control and incoming goods inspection the possibility to automatically perform MFR or MVR measurements according to ISO 1133 Procedure B as well as ASTM D1238 Procedure B. With an optional cutting device, the measurements can also be evaluated according to ISO 1133 Procedure A and ASTM D1238 Procedure A.
