With the recent Executive Order promising prosecution of anti-Semitic hate crimes , I think it is very important to define what the term anti-Semitic means, according to the scriptures. The book of Genesis tells of a man named Noah , and one of his son's was named Shem . This son became the ancestor of the Oriental races, and also the Jewish people. Of course this presents a serious problem for people trying to make the term anti-Semitic work solely for the Jewish people. The other issue here is that a person who is simply a religious Jew , cannot truly claim to be descended from Shem.
