In this video, you will learn all about Some Special Plants. • Parasitic Plants • Parasitic plants have a unique ability of twining themselves around the stem of other plants, and suck water and minerals out of them. • For example: cuscuta and rafflesia. • Carnivorous Plants • There are some plants that eat insects. Such plants are called carnivorous or insectivorous plants. They are green plants but they grow in soil poor in nitrogen. They fulfil their requirement of nitrogen by eating insects. • Venus flytrap • Venus flytrap has jaw-like leaves that are like two halves of a trap. When an insect lands on its leaves, the lobes close quickly and the insect gets trapped. After an insect is caught, the plant releases some digestive juices and digests the insect. • Pitcher plant • The leaves of the pitcher plant are shaped like a pitcher with a lid over it. The pitcher is filled with a sweet smelling nectar that attracts insects. When an insect lands on it to suck the nectar, it slides down and falls into the liquid. It gets trapped as it does not find the way back out. • Follow us on Instagram:   / login   • Follow us on YouTube:    / @blueprintdigitalnr   • Follow us on Facebook:   / blueprintedu   • Buy Here – My Science Zone (Latest Version): https://blueprinteducation.co.in/pro/... • My Science Zone Class 4 ‪@BlueprintDigitalnr‬
