Pikmin 1 Prototype SS Dolphin

A prototype of the SS Dolphin's cutscene model can be found in the resources of demo76 and demo77. • Since it is rigged identically to the final version, it can be restored in cutscenes that use said model. • This includes 'demo01', 'demo76', and 'demo77'. • 0:00 Intro • 0:10 Model Showcase • 0:40 demo01 - Intro Cinematic • 1:22 demo76 - Best Ending Part 1 • 1:42 demo77 - Best Ending Part 2 • Music used: Wi-Fi Menu (Mario Kart Wii) • • Edit 4/13/19 • Random trivia I found out after I made this video. The Prototype SS Dolphin is such a significantly larger file, that it takes a few more DVD read cycles to fully load the file into RAM. This changes the timing of the music in the best ending by a tiny amount, as demo77 loads its resources during the cut to black after demo76 while the music is still playing. • Originally, for this video, I was going to make a fading comparison for the cutscenes similar to the Model Showcase segment. However, this discrepancy in timing, combined with some other strange differences in timing that occurred, made me decide not to. Also, the video would have been very long so I decided it wasn't worth it for that reason as well. • EDIT 8/29/19 • If you look closely at the end credits movie, you can see a more complete version of this prototype model in the recording of demo01 they used. The less angular Ionium Jet is a dead giveaway. Sad that we never got that version of the model.
