I wondered how long it would take to lockpick the lock found on ThinkPad Docking Station, so I sat down and filmed my first few attempts. • While the first time was a bit long, I quickly learned the feel of the wafer-style lock and was able to open it faster and faster. Then I made a tool specifically for the lock using a paperclip and flathead screwdriver. • I'm pretty sure that this sort of lock setup wasn't designed to defeat a true thief as there would be many ways to defeat this not to mention the exploits around the Kensington lock configuration as well. • It should go without saying that this video is for demonstration/entertainment purposes.
