Mattel is selling a toy version of the Cybertruck for $100, and Bridget Carey gets an early look at the R/C vehicle. Pre-orders for the new collectable begin Friday May 21 at 8 a.m. PT (11 a.m. ET) at MattelCreations.com. • My test drive didn't last long when it broke in the first five minutes of playing with it. I reached out to Mattel about it, and the company shared this statement: The version provided to CNET was an early-phase product sample. Fans will receive a final version of the latest 1:10 Hot Wheels R/C Cybertruck to ensure they can enjoy the best play experience possible. • So things may be different when the final models ship to customers, which Mattel says will be by September 15.
