This video shows you how to disassemble the PlayStation 5 (PS5 Disc Edition, Model CFI-1016A), e.g. for cleaning, laser replacement, re-application of liquid metal etc. Here we take apart all the components including the mainboard with an insight into the most important board components (APU [CPU + GPU], Ram, Blu-Ray drive, SSD hard drive, mainboard, power supply, fan etc.). This tutorial is intended primarily to provide assistance for any necessary repair or cleaning. For replacing, repairing or cleaning certain components, the device must be opened. This will void the warranty. Please ensure that you have the right tools available to avoid damaging the console when opening. All opening tools used in this video are not binding and can be possibly replaced by other types (eg. different screwdrivers). Before opening please ensure that your tools are suitable to teardown the console.
