I Keep Hunter Ants As Pets

Today I show you what it's like keeping primitive jumping ants! Everyday hunters are send out to help bring food to the ant colony. • The queens of the colony lay ant eggs. At this point the ant colony purely survives. But as the eggs hatch into small ant larvae the colony needs protein. For every meal hunted down the worker ants paralyses the pray with venom injected thought the ant stinger. Once the meal is calm their carry it home. As the new meals enter the nest the colony starts their feast. The ant larvae are placed on the meal and start eating. With this addition protein the ant larvae grows bigger and bigger until one day they build their cocoon around them. In here the ant larvae develops into the ant we see in the wild. After weeks inside the cocoon, the worker ant finally encloses and start their new life except in our case... That wasn't was happened because to the surprise of everyone it wasn't a worker ant that enclosed but a winged ant?!... The winged ant is actually a virgin queen ant and will most likely be useless for the colony... • In the future I have plans of moving this ant colony into a naturalistic setup where the primitive jumping ants can hopefully thrive.
