It is built on a small island (about 1 km2) between the mainland and the island of Čiovo.Trogir, never taken or vandalized, retains a representative heritage of 2,500 years of Mediterranean architecture. Trogir has a continuous urban history of over 2,300 years. Its rich cultural heritage stems from the influence of the ancient Greeks, Romans and Venetians.
