http://www.realtruck.com/amp-research... | • Fully powered and illuminated, AMP Research PowerStep running boards retract beneath the underside of your truck and extend outward automatically when needed. This keeps them out of sight when not in use to leave your truck looking slick and seamless. AMP Research PowerStep running boards are also built at home in the USA from high quality materials, ensuring that they're tough, durable, and built to last no matter what you use your truck for. These power retracting truck steps are also weatherproof, so there's no need to worry about electrical components being damaged by harsh weather conditions. They're also equipped with a 600lbs load capacity per step, ensuring that once they're installed on your truck, they're not going anywhere else. • Video Transcription: • Anthony: Well, I'm Anthony Smith, Lund International and I'm going • to talk to you about the new improvements to the AMP • Research Powerstep. What you see right here is the • improved Silverado application for the 2014 Silverado. What you're going • to notice is the wider linkages; the linkages are maybe about • an inch wider. That gives you a more substantial look, a • beefier and stronger look; and also functionally, • it gives you that wider stance, that wider interface between the • board and the linkage which just makes the boards function that much • better. • One more thing we're excited about is over the last couple • of months we've been working on a new way to wire the • vehicle. What you might be used to on the Silverado is • having to do into the door panel just to find your trigger wires, and • then in 2014, we were forced to go into all four door panels. • Well, that set us in motion, trying to find a new • solution and what we can up with was our plug and • play module. It plugs right into the OBD diagnostics port, so you've got • two wires that come up through the floor, attach it to • our module, plug it in and you're done with your wiring. • One question you might have when we plug into the OB2 port • is, what if you need that port open all the time for a • tuner or whatever it is? When you need this port, all • we're going to do is remove the port as it's down there, plug that port • into this part, take the replacement one and put that into • place, plug our module into this guy, zip tie it up • and you're done. Then you've got the Powerstep plugged • into the OB2D port and you still have the port open. • One thing you'll notice when you shut the door, there's a • delay. That gives you enough time to get to the back • door, get whatever you need to get out of the back door, • the kids, your briefcase or whatever it is, and the you can shut the door • and the steps go up. Therefore, the steps aren't going up and • down as you open and close the doors. 866-554-0581 Free shipping for orders over $100!
