I love to use the idea of a bumper sticker as a way to have our speakers and storytellers share their “Third Act“ life philosophies when we come together for our annual events. • This little video shares the personal passions, strength and positive beliefs our QUEST 2024 speakers shared with me about life, aging and possibilities in our “third act” - in our 50’s and beyond . • QUEST 2024 INFO AND SIGN UP LINK: https://mailchi.mp/66b9cdbd307c/quest... • ______ • As an aside about bumper stickers … I did a little trip down memory lane to recall bumper stickers that stood out to me over the years… • “ Keep on Truckin’” was a popular one in the 70s especially for aging Grateful Dead fans. • Then there was the “My other car is a Porsche” that you’d see on the bumpers of Honda Civics in the early 2000s. An interesting statement of the times. • “Proud mother of…..” you fill in the blank— an honor roll student, captain of the baseball team, and other varieties of children's accomplishments that proud parents wanted to tell the world about. • “Baby on Board” was a must have for anyone carrying young children in their car, in hopes that other drivers would be careful around them. • Then there were a wide variety of Stick Figure bumper stickers, indicating the size of peoples’ families, or those featuring a particular cat or dog breed, usually accompanied by a heart. • ________ • If you were asked to design a bumper sticker that expressed your emotion, your philosophy, your approach to living… of life 50+… what would it say? • (Maybe it’s time to create some more connecting, uplifting, inspiring bumper stickers!) • https://mailchi.mp/66b9cdbd307c/quest...
