Hello everyone! • Today we are going to talk about a very special and unique dog breed: the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog, or Vlcak, as it is also known. This dog is the result of a scientific experiment that began in 1955 in former Czechoslovakia, where wolves from the Carpathian region were crossed with German shepherds. The goal was to create a dog that had the temperament, pack mentality, and training ability of the German shepherd, and the strength, stamina, and physique of the wolf. The breed was initially used as border patrol dogs, but later also proved useful in other activities such as search and rescue, protection sport, tracking, herding, agility, obedience, hunting, and traction in Europe and the United States.
