73 POWERSTROKE COOLANT FLUSH WITH SIMPLE GREEN ELC ROTELLA

7.3 coolant flush. • 7.3 holds 4 gallons (give or take) of coolant. I used rotella ELC RED concentrated coolant. You can use whatever but please use a heavy duty coolant. • Steps • DRAIN OLD COOLANT. • Remove degas bottle. • Use 60% cleaner 40% h20 and spray the inside of the coolant degas bottle.. • Flush the bottle out thoroughly. • Next reinstall your degas bottle. • Add 25% simple green and 75% Distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP OR HOSE WATER AS IT MAY DAMAGE THE ENGINE DUE TO MINERALS EATING AWAY AT THE RAW METAL! • Start the engine and turn the heat on max and open all windows. Let the truck idle for around 30 minutes. • Shut the engine off. Remove degas cap. Pull the drain valve out of the radiator (19MM) drain the simple green water mixture. • Replace the Valve on the radiator. Add 4 1 gallon jugs of distilled water and start the engine. Run the engine for 15 minutes. Remove the valve and drain the distilled water. • Replace the Valve on the radiator. Add 4 1 gallon jugs of distilled water and start the engine. Run the engine for 15 minutes. Remove the valve and drain the distilled water. • Replace the Valve on the radiator. Add 4 1 gallon jugs of distilled water and start the engine. Run the engine for 5 minutes. Remove the valve and drain the distilled water. • Replace the Valve on the radiator. Add 4 1 gallon jugs of distilled water and start the engine. Run the engine for 5 minutes. Remove the valve and drain the distilled water. • Replace the valve on the radiator and add • 4 gallons of your preferred coolant brand. • (HD COOLANT). Next add around 2 gallons of distilled water. (Do not attach cap yet) • Start the engine. Idle it for 3 minutes.
