This video explains the pilot certificate validation and conversion process from FAA to EASA. I have completed this task back in January of 2022 and would like to share my experience in this step-by step tutorial. The process seems simplistic up front, but you will need assistance from local designated pilot examiners to make sure it is carried out correctly. You will also need to have a medical exam, an EASA flight review, and a radio communication exam. I was fortunate enough to locate a flying academy (www.pragueflyingacademy.com) who assisted me with the entire process, which took only two days. • The turn around time for the review of all documentation will take an additional seven to ten days. The good news, since you have a validation card, you can rent an aircraft and fly freely as an EASA pilot.
