1920s express lift yay

A very old 1920s Express lift. • Express lifts formed in 1917 by Easton lifts and The General Electric Comapny. In 1929 SMS joined express and the company was renamed SMS Express. In the 1930s they started making their classic Express first generation lifts. (in the 1960s the SMS part of the name was dropped) • This lift was built in the change over period from Express to SMS Express in arround 1929. (on the name plate it just says express but on the buttons it says SMS Express.) • Also is the leveling original? Express made the first ever leveling lift in 1925 (before Otis) but leveling was not a standard feature until their second generation lifts in the 1970s. The leveling in this level is not a recent alteration as it levels in a clunky way, but I don't know if it is original. • This lift also has manual controlls (but these didn't work properly). To start with these didn't seem to work, but then I managed to make it go up a meter then it stopped. • Motor - original • Buttons - original • Logic - ??? • Interior - original • http://beno.org.uk
