Medical animation showing how a skin substitute for the treatment of severe wounds works. The skin substitute is made from cod skin and, unlike other types of skin substitute (e.g. pig skin), still contains a whole range of natural skin components such as omega-3, elastin, fibronectin, laminin, glycans, proteoglycans and lipids. These support wound healing, e.g. by activating thrombocytes. • The pore structure of the skin substitute enables rapid ingrowth of blood vessels and fibroblasts and the formation of granulation tissue, thus accelerating the healing process. • You can find more information here: • https://www.medicalgraphics.de/en/pro... • The rights of use of the visual material are held by the client.
