Few books have captured the middle school feelings like the graphic novels by Raina Telgemeier. Guts tells the story of one girl's affliction with IBS (terrible feelings in your guts from cramping to other discomforts that are super embarrassing). After a while the triggers became too numerous and her anxiety grew too big for her to handle.
