With the first day of school beginning, the feeling of seeing my friends in a classroom after a long summer has never seemed so far away in the past. I remember the perplexing paradox- the desire of going to school to see how things have changed versus the desire of staying home, not wanting to let go of the long summer days. • As I graduated through each grade, my friends gradually changed. Some moved away, while others found new interests and friendships. Each year brought new friendships, but by the time I hit my late teens, none of my friends were the same. • I've heard that by the time you reach college, you will no longer be in contact with 90% of your friends, and after college 98% of those friends are gone. Luckily, God has always been in that small percentage. Regardless of the changes that life frequently brings, God has moved through the stages in life with me.
