20112016 Honda Odyssey Radio Removal Replacement Deck RL5

This is how to remove the head unit from a 2011 Honda Odyssey. I replaced with with an Alpine CDA-105. This van is the LX model. By doing this, it will stop the screen above the deck from working, and the stock sub will also not work. I will explain in a future video how to wire up the sub to work. This should be the same for 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016 models. I think it will also work for all the trim levels like SE, EX, EX-L, and Touring. It may not be a good idea to do it with the higher trim levels, because of functionality you may loose. This is the North American USDM Honda Odyssey. Also, be careful with how loud you play the music with the stock speakers. Aftermarket decks usually put out a higher wattage per channel then stock decks. • I really liked this upgrade (or downgrade to some people). The LX model only comes with an AUX in. I like to charge my phone while playing music from it, with one cable.
