Tamika and brother Cleve, travel to Fogo Island in Newfoundland, to explore the Fogo Island Inn, and the creativity of local artists. • Tamika Lamison is the Founder of Make a Film Foundation in Los Angeles, California. Make a Film Foundation helps terminally ill kids with a film dream, write and star in their own film. Actors, producers, and other famous individuals assist by directing and starring alongside the kids in their own production. Tamika and her brother Cleve take a vacation to Newfoundland and Labrador to learn something about Canada, see a beautiful place, and experience some balance fun. • Fogo Island is a boat ride away from St John’s, Newfoundland. It is a beautiful island of creative minded individuals connecting with the world. Tamika and Cleve explore the accommodations at Fogo Island Inn, and speak with a local artist, Bruce Pashak. • Shorefast, a registered Canadian charity, owns the Fogo Island Inn with a mandate to promote cultural and economic resilience for Fogo Island. Zita Cobb, the Innkeeper at Fogo Island Inn, explains to Tamika and Cleve, the history of Fogo Island and the creativity of the Fogo Island Inn. The Fogo Island Inn was built as a set of ideas for how to express contemporary architecture. Inside the Fogo Island Inn, there is an art gallery to explore that showcases the art and storytelling of local artists. • Artist of Pashak Studio, Bruce Pashak, shares some of his paintings with Tamika and Cleve.
