Members of First Nations communities in Canada make an annual pilgrimage to Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré in Quebec. They feel closeness to the grandmother of Jesus because in their own culture, the grandmother is greatly respected. As part of the pilgrimage is the devotion to the Way of the Cross and visiting the shrine of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native saint canonized. The pilgrimage concludes with the Indigenous Sunday Mass at the Basilica. • Become a Knight today: http://kofc.org/join • Subscribe now to keep up with the Knights! http://bit.ly/SubscribeKnightsOfColumbus • Stay connected on social media: / knightsofcolumbus • / kofc • / kofc_official • Visit us at: http://www.kofc.org
