BenQ HT1085ST DLP Projector Overheat Repair

Another BenQ HT1085ST. This one would run about 10min and then shut down from a temp error. The exhaust fan was fine as were the RPMs of the rest of the fans, yet not enough air was moving though the lamp. • I found the blower fan had dust caked onto the blades preventing efficient airflow. Once I cleaned them up, it ran much cooler. • Fan RPM is not always an indication of fan condition.
