Baidyanath Temple, Jharkhand : Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple also known as baba baidyanath dham and baidyanath dham is a temple complex consisting of main temple of baidyanath. This temple is one of the twelve jyotirlinga, the most sacred adobes of shiva and is located in deoghar santhal paragans division of the state of Jharkhand. As per the historical accounts, demon ravana used to worship lord shiv at the current site of the temple to get the boons that he later used to wreak havoc and also he offered his ten heads to lord shiva. Pleased with this lord shiva cured his ravana and that’s how there he is referred as vaidhya which means doctor.
