It was such a pleasure to be able to encounter this beautiful species for the second time. • This subspecies endemic to Borneo is the Zoothera Citrina Aurata. It spots white bars on its wing coverts, and has narrow buffish eye rings lores. • It is a rare resident of Sabah's Crocker Range, its habitat being submontane montane primary forests. • It is a shy bird, foraging on forest floor by probing leaf litter for insects. • The Orange-headed Thrush (Zoothera Citrina) is a species with a range of distribution including the Indian subcontinent and SEAsia. • It is polytypic, with the different subspecies showing varying plumage. • #birds #wildlife #borneosabah #borneoforest #birdsofborneo
