#Defibrillation is a process in which current is passed through the heart muscles and the whole of the heart is thrown into a Refractory period for few seconds and the rhythm of heart is brought back to normal sinus rhythm. • Defibrillation when used along with hand pumping of the heart is known as cardiopulmonary Resuscitation or #CPR. • The two most important shockable rhythm in which Defibrillation is used are Ventricularfibrillation and Ventricular tachycardia • In de fib 110 volts of 60 cycles AC current is applied for 0.1 sec • Or 1000volts of DC is applied for 1/1000th of a second • #shockablerhythm
