In this video we upgrade the factory installed hard drive (Toshiba SSHD) with a SSD. We install the hard drive in the DVD-bay by replacing the DVD-drive with a HDD Caddy. The Asus N552VX can be equipped with, in total, 3 storage drives. • Cloning the hard drive to SSD: • • Simple how to: Clone your hard drive ... • You need: • HDD Caddy for Asus N552VX • 2.5 inch SATA SSD • Philips 00 screwdriver • Paper clip • Step 1. Replace the hard drive with the SSD • Step 1a. Remove the compartment cover • Step 1b. Take out the HDD bracket • Step 1c. Remove the hard drive • Step 1d. Insert the SSD in the HDD bracket • Step 1e. Reassemble in reverse order • Step 2. Replace the DVD drive with HDD Caddy • Step 2a. Take out the DVD drive • Step 2b. Open the DVD drive's loading tray • Note: Push a paper clip in the bezel's hole • Step 2c. Remove the bezel from the DVD drive • Note: Push the right clip outwards the bezel will pop off • Step 2d. Remove the metal bracket from the DVD drive • Step 2e. Insert the hard drive in the HDD Caddy • Step 2f. Transfer the bezel onto the HDD Caddy • Step 2g. Screw the metal bracket on the HDD Caddy • Step 2h. Reassemble with the HDD Caddy in the notebook • Done!
