PowerSmart 24quot Snowblower Had Its First Breakdown

Originally recorded April 28, 2018. • The absolutely FLAWLESS PowerSmart Snowblower had a problem in the last storm of winter 2018. The problem was very simple, but diagnosis, and access to the innards was the hard part. • The problem was the auger belt was thrown off the pulley. Not from hitting an object, it just happened. Inspection revealed that yes, the belt was thrown off the pulley. Getting it back on was tricky to say the least, but much easier once you know how. The problem was it would continue to throw the belt when the auger handle was released. • I believe the belt has either worn some or has stretched. Tightening the cable was the fix, and in every test I've done on it since the repair, it's been working fine once again.
