Download Welsh bagpipe music from: • https://johntose.bandcamp.com/album/c... • `Waterseid Tune' played on Welsh pibgorn. The tune comes from a Welsh, West Gallery manuscript book dated 1815 without words but with `hoelia fy medwl' written on the first page. • The pibgorn has a turned yew body with cow horns, fitted with a plastic Ezeedrone reed - originally for a Highland tenor drone. The tone is slightly less reedy than with a natural cane reed (though that's more apparent to the player than to a listener) but the instrument keeps in tune as long as the player avoids wetting the reed, as moisture accumulating under the reed tongue will affect the tuning, though it's easy enough to remove with care. • the pibgorn was made by myself, John Tose.
