Many situations involve more than one type of variation. Combined variation is a combination of direct, inverse, and joint variation. For example, the sales of a product may be directly proportional to the amount of money spent on advertising the product, but inversely proportional to the price of the product. • Step 1: Write the correct equation. Combined variation problems are solved using a combination of direct variation (y = kx), inverse variation (y =k/x), and joint variation (y = kxz) equations. When dealing with word problems, you should consider using variables other than x, y, and z, you should use variables that are relevant to the problem being solved. Also read the problem carefully to determine if there are any other changes in the combined variation equation, such as squares, cubes, or square roots. • Step 2: Use the information given in the problem to find the value of k, called the constant of variation or the constant of proportionality. • Step 3: Rewrite the equation from step 1 substituting in the value of k found in step 2. • Step 4: Use the equation found in step 3 and the remaining information given in the problem to answer the question asked. When solving word problems, remember to include units in your final answer. • GUIDE FOR YOUR LEARNING TASKS • WEEK 1 VARIATIONS • Learning Task 1 - • DIRECT INVERSE VARIATIONS|LEARNING ... • Learning Task 2A - • JOINT VARIATIONS | LEARNING TASK 2A • Learning Task 2B - • COMBINED VARIATIONS | LEARNING TASK 2B • Learning Task 3 - • VARIATIONS, TABLE OF VALUES, CONSTANT... • WEEK 2 PROBLEMS INVOLVING VARIATIONS • Learning Task 4 - • PROBLEMS INVOLVING VARIATIONS|LEARNIN... • WEEK 3 INTEGRAL AND ZERO EXPONENTS • Learning Task 1 - • INTEGRAL AND ZERO EXPONENTS| LEARNIN... • Learning Task 2 Part 1 - • INTEGRAL ZERO EXPONENTS | LEARNING ... • Learning Task 2 Part 2 - • INTEGRAL AND ZERO EXPONENTS | LEARNIN... • WEEK 4 RATIONAL EXPONENTS AND RADICAL EXPRESSIONS • Learning Task 1- • RATIONAL EXPONENTS| LEARNING TASK 1 • Learning Task 2 - • INTEGRAL ZERO EXPONENTS | LEARNING ... • Learning Task 3B- • RATIONAL EXPONENTS AND RADICALS| LEAR... • Learning Task 3B - • RATIONAL EXPONENTS AND RADICALS |LEAR... • WEEK 5-6 SIMPLIFYING RADICAL EXPRESSIONS • Learning Task 1A- • SIMPLIFYING RADICAL EXPRESSIONS |LEAR... • Learning Task 1B- • SIMPLIFYING RADICAL EXPRESSIONS| REDU... • Kindly share this to your friends and classmates para madami pa lalo ang gumaling sa math and don't forget to leave your comments😘 • NOTE: This is just your guide.
