Grab a weight in one hand and place your other hand and same knee on a flat bench. Without rounding your lower back, let the dumbbell hang at arm's length from your shoulders. Keep your upper arm perpendicular to your body and palm facing behind you as you flare your elbow to your side, lifting the dumbbell and rowing the weight toward the side of your chest. As if you're elbowing someone behind you.Pause, then slowly lower the dumbbell back to the starting position.
