Next we will go ahead and give you a couple of measurements this is what are hitch looks like once it is installed from the center of a hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 5 inches from the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12 and three quarter inches this will assist you in selecting accessories such as a draw bar, a bike rack or a cargo carrier now lets go ahead with the installation our first step is going to be to lower the exhaust there are two rubber ice slathers that it need to be remove to o this well first spray them down with some spray lubricant and then remove the rubber from the ice hanger. Alright with the exhaust hangers remove well now move on to our attachment points were going to have three on each sides. Each of this attachment points will be a well nut in the frame heres a rear most of the attachment points are center and the forward most attachment points. Before we try and install our hitch and new hardware. We want to go ahead and clean each one of this well nut out over time theyll build up with dirt, dust and debris and become corroded with rust. • • To clean them out we use some spray lubricant and a half inch nylon toothbrush part number 814092 each process we do in here on the driver side is going to be repeat identically on the passenger side now were ready to go ahead and install the hitch. To secure the hitch well be using the inch and a half by two inch blocks the block will get some which between the hitch and the frame to secure. It will be using the new 12 millimeter bolts and conical tooth washers to the teeth of the washer facing the hitch. Its a good idea to get an extra set of hands to help you hold the hitch in place as you install your fasteners quick tech tip fit the fasteners side up over the exhaust and then bring the driver side up in the position. Now with all our fasteners installed we can go ahead and tighten them down. • • Once youve got them tighten down well go ahead towards the specification as indicated in the instruction now we go ahead in reinstall the exhaust. And with our exhaust reinstalled that will complete the install of our draw type hitch part number 75270 on our 2007 Honda Odyssey. .
