Vladimir Ilic, MD, discusses who the typical patient with congestive heart failure is. Typical patients with congestive failure are those who are in the older generation, from the ages of mid sixties to seventies and eighties. They may have had several heart attacks in the past and the strength of the heart may be weak. However, recently there have been those with normal heart strength, but have other problems. These problems may be arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, and cardiac myopathy—the heart cannot pump well, problems with the heart muscle. For those you are young, may have congestive heart failure due to alcohol or drug abuse. • • Subscribe for more Heart Health Videos: • http://www.youtube.com/subscription_c... • Visit: • http://www.americanhealthjournal.com
