In this video Jorge conducts a simple test to demonstrate the difference between the most common LED strip IP ratings. Next time you are looking for an LED strip for your home, business, or vehicle, make sure you choose the right ingress protection ratings to fit your needs. • • IP ratings are determined by protection against solids and liquids (first and second number). • For example, IP 40 protects against solid objects greater than 1mm such as wire (4) and not protected against liquids at all (0). • IP 67 is dust tight (6) and protects against water immersion of less than 15cm for no more than an hour (7). • IP 68 is dust tight (6) and can be submerged in water under pressure(8). • • For more detailed information consult the latest Ingress Protection Ratings Guide. • • • In this video Jorge submerges various LED strips in Water. Jorge is a trained professional, please do not try this at home. This test was conducted for demonstration purposes using SIRS-E LED strips. • All SIRS-E LED strips are built with high quality materials and are designed for optimal performance. As always, we recommend that you take appropriate precautions when conducting your own test. • • Product Links: • http://sirs-e.com/shop/5050-single-de... • http://sirs-e.com/shop/5050-single-de... • http://sirs-e.com/shop/5050-double-de... • • Thank You For Watching.
