Oaxacan Memelas (crickets optional 😄) • My first supper club of the new year was this past weekend, and the theme was Oaxaca. I came across memelas when searching for a dish to make and thought this would be a good traditional dish to whip up. • I opted to use Blue Corn Masa Harisa and went somewhat classic with the toppings: bacon fat/grease, refried black beans, homemade salsa roja, and queso fresco. Crickets are a delicacy in the region so I kicked it up a notch by also adding @donbugito Chili Lime Crickets Pumpkin Seeds. They added great texture and flavor and was so glad everyone was open to trying them! • #shorts #BBVFood
