Comparison between the frametimes of the Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB and the AMD RX 7800XT 16GB in 10 different VRChat worlds. • System: • AMD Ryzen 5 7600 • 32 GB DDR5 @ 5200MT/s • Nvidia RTX 3060 12GB (Driver 561.09) / AMD RX 7800XT 16GB (Driver 24.8.1) • Pico 4 HMD / Headset @ 90 Hz running Virtual Desktop /w HEVC 10-bit. The “VR graphics quality” option in Virtual Desktop has been set to “Medium” for the RTX 3060 and to “High” for the RX 7800XT. • Why frametimes and not framerate? • Frametimes give a more detailed overview of how consistently the frames are being delivered, which is crucial for VR where even small inconsistencies can cause discomfort.
