In this video we will discuss the MIDI connectivity via bluetooth with your Zoom ARQ. • For more information and product updates, go to http://zoom-na.com • -- • First, turn off the Base Station or remove the ring controller. If the ring is off, power on, then press the Settings button. Next, press the blue pad to the right of the settings button. This will put the ring into bluetooth mode and disconnect from the base station if it is powered on. • Next, open the Audio MIDI setup application. Select the Window on the menu bar and choose Show MIDI Studio. Double click the bluetooth icon to bring up the Bluetooth configuration screen. This is where the ring controller should appear in order to connect to the computer. If it does not appear, open your computer System Preferences and select Bluetooth to search for the device. Click on “Connect” next to the ring option to complete the process. • You should see your ring flash blue to indicate a connection. If the connection fails, open System Preferences and click the X next to the ring controller before trying again. • If connecting to another iOS device, follow the same steps to put the ring into Bluetooth mode. Next, launch an app that supports MIDI over bluetooth, and access the app settings to select the ring controller.
