UPDATE: After extensive testing of both this and the AC5300 (See that video Here: • Asus AC5300 RT-AC5300 Router Unboxing... ) Neither router stands up to the Asus AC2400, the AC87U. The RT-AC87U still has superior performance, reliability, and WiFi range. The AC3100 has Terrible WiFi range in comparison to both the AC2400 and the AC5300, with the AC5300 nearly matching the AC2400, but falling slightly short. Given the price difference between these newer routers and the more reliable AC2400, it seems the AC2400 is a clear choice for any use case. • This video is a quick unboxing and setup of the new Asus AC3100 RT-AC88U router.
