My hope to to provide support to parents with both my education and personal experience. I post new videos weekly with fun new topics that give you the skills to teach your children at home! Children with language delay are more inclined to bit more often because they have difficulty communicating their wants and needs. • When to Potty Train: • (If you child has a language delay they may take a little extra time to learn potty training) • 24 months or early (if they ARE READY!) • How to know your child is READY: • They express they would like to be changed • Demonstrate discomfort when wet • Hide diapers with stoll • How to TRAIN your child: • Get them excited- Talk about potty training for a couple weeks before starting • Get what you need- Potty (I recommend getting a stand alone potty when child is able to sit unassisted and letting them sit on it early so that they are comfortable on it), diapers (to place in potty (since your child already associates them with going to the bathroom), Stickers (for reward system), rewards • Help them get comfortable on the potty (with time goals and redirection) • Praise them for the little things • Don't rush it! • Before I even had my little one people were asking me which diapers I preferred. At the time I had no idea what to look for. Now my go-to is always Huggies. We've had the best time using their Pull-Ups to start our potty training adventure. Hope you guys like these too! • My favorite thing about these Pull-Ups is that my little guy loves them! He is always motivated to try to go potty when he gets to see his favorite characters. He also loves getting phone calls from the one and only Lightning McQueen. Another plus is that my son has never had a rash when using these Pull-Ups! They are flexible and stay in place too. We've had very few accidents since we started using them! They even have a night time Pull-Up with Buzz Lightyear on them.
