It is stimulating and invigorating, it accelerates some processes that take place in our body, like metabolism, it increases blood pressure, improves food assimilation and gives us vitality and energy. • This can be especially helpful for runners, as it can speed up the recovery process and delay fatigue. • To make alkaline water we can use low mineralization mineral water or tap water if its quality is good enough. We can pass it through a filter jar in that case. • The second thing we are going to use is a pH-meter, which we will use to check the pH change after the process. • Finally, we are going to need a water ionizer jar to get alkaline water through electrolysis. Water ionizer jar is made of the following elements: a polypropylene jar, a kaolin vessel which comes inside and a cover with the electrodes. • One of the electrodes is the anode, which will produce acid water, and the other one is the cathode, which will make alkaline water. • As you can see, on the top of the cover it is displayed where both types of water are located, so that we don’t place the electrodes wrong into the jar. • We will begin by pouring water into the jar. First we fill up the kaolin vessel. As you see, there is a line on the top of this label to show the maximum amount of water for this vessel. • Then we pour water into the polypropylene jar. • Well, it is very important to notice that the pH levels we are going to achieve are related to the amount of water available in the kaolin vessel and the polypropylene jar. The greater the difference is, the bigger pH value we will get on the alkaline water. For instance, if we fill up the polypropylene jar up to 1750ml the pH value of the jar is going to be less alkaline. The lesser the amount of water we pour (up to a limit), the more alkalinity we will get on this water. • In this case, we will add tap water up to the maximum allowed amount into the kaolin vessel, and we will add 1250ml into the polypropylene jar. • Next we use the pH-meter into the kaolin vessel to check the initial pH value. As we can see it is 7.0, which is a neutral pH. • Once the cover is placed on the polypropylene jar, we plug it and activate the timer for 10 minutes, which is the time needed to ionize this amount of water. • After 10 minutes, we unplug the jar and we check the result of this electrolysis process. To check the result we use the pH-meter on the alkaline water side. • As you can see its pH is around 11, which is very alkaline. Also if we want we can check the pH of the acid water contained into the kaolin vessel. In this case, as you can check, acid water pH value is around 4.5. • This way we are done, and the only thing left is to separate alkaline water and acid water pouring them into different containers. • Well, once finished remove kaolin vessel and pour alkaline water into a glass. And we can now enjoy the benefits of this excellent alkaline water. • I hope you have found this video interesting.
