For anyone that's done higher degree research, ensuring that your research is ethical and passes the ethics committee can be a significant challenge. Further, most of us don't start learning about ethical standards until university. Drawing upon my decade of experience in social science research I've created this tutorial to be used within a high school context - at an early point in promising scientists' careers - to serve as a basic introduction to research ethics. • The key aspects discussed in the video include risk and harm, consent, opt-out methodology, limited disclosure, coercion, recruitment and identifiability. • National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research: https://www.nhmrc.gov.au/about-us/pub... • Music: • Joakim Karud: Harmony; Ocean; Recover. / joakimkarud • Images: • Vecteezy: www.vecteezy.com • Pexels: www.pexels.com • || Follow for more content! || • FACEBOOK: www.facebook.com/highschoolscience101 • INSTA: www.facebook.com/highschoolscience101 • PATREON: www.patreon.com/highschoolscience101
