This song is extremely special to me and I hope it speaks life into you today - I actually started the writing process during the pandemic and the Lord has patiently worked on it with me the past few years as it was pieced together. I simply prayed and imagined the words that my family and I desperately needed to be reminded of. • Like many of you, our family had to navigate through so much loss, hurt, betrayal, misunderstanding, disappointment, confusion, and change - you name it and we faced it - it was hard to even stay hopeful at times if I’m completely honest. We realized over time how important it was to admit to not being “fine” and to actually feel all of the emotions we were experiencing - It can be pretty easy to dismiss feeling your genuine feelings sometimes. • As you watch the world for yourself it’s not hard to see how easy it is to numb our circumstances with everything but Jesus. As a family unit we had to fight for one another, encourage one another and of course allow Jesus to work on our hearts as we fought for our faith and moved forward. As always, He was faithful (and still is) and I know He loves when we come to Him before we do ANYTHING else regardless of what we’re up against. • I pray this song reminds you that God is fighting alongside of you - no matter how hard today might be you can always find one thing to be grateful for - ask God to reveal Himself to you through your current trials because He will and He is. He is the hope that’s breaking through and the only peace that satisfies.
