This week we sit down with the fabulous UK based abstract artist and print-maker, Sally Hirst. • • Sally’s intriguing works incorporate a range of techniques including collagraphy, carborundum, monoprinting and relief printing. • • “The textures, colours and structures of the urban environment inform my practice. Drawings and photographs of abandoned buildings, objects I find on my walks through a city, maps, rubbings and tracings of shadows all dictate the development of my work.
