I've consistently tried preventing vandalisms, updating info, stuff like that. But since recently, about the time the game came out, the wiki has gained a LOT of traction, much more than I could have ever imagined. And with that, tons of children started ruining every single page they saw, adding tons of mispellings, straight up renaming and blanking the page, or like the example of what i've shown in the video (Note, that's just a SINGLE page in the past 2 MONTHS). I've been trying to deal with it, but it just kept getting harder, especially with the amount of daily edits I need to check. At this point I thought of straight up moving the wiki to a different host. BUT, the main thing that was stopping me: FANDOM wiki itself. You see, you can't JUST delete a wiki, it'd be too easy. But y'know, I could just gain traffic on the other wiki and abandon the old one, right? WRONG. The way FANDOM wikis work is that the site itself pushes their own wikis on top other ones, making it much harder for a different wiki host to get on top of the google searches. On top of that, the site itself is really bad, constant awful design changes, so much ads on mobile and without adblock that it's straight up impossible to navigate to, constantly advertising something esle n such. But y'know, if I can't move to a different place, why not just hire more admins or protect the pages? Well, you see, there was just ONE person that was good enough to earn admin role. Every other admin is MUCH more inactive. And about protecting: there are only 3 types, no protect, protect for authorized users (which literally everyone can become really easily) and admins only (which should not be used unless it's like main page or something like that). That's it, no verified users, no connecting through phone only, no, that's the only things, you can't do anything else. Because screw you. Support itself is also pretty bad. In fact, besides just cleaning pages, they can't PREVENT stuff like that happening, only SALVAGE. And honestly I'm just tired from all of this, I'd WISH I'd be able to leave this position, but I just can't, that's impossible, no one can take my place, cause literally no one else would do my job, cause otherwise it'd be yet another scary grandma wiki.
