1954 Chevrolet 235 engine rebuild

I cover the teardown and rebuild of a 1954 Chevrolet 235ci Stovebolt engine. This engine was bored 0.060 over which increased it's displacement to 244 cubic inches. The head was rebuilt with hardened valve seats, stainless steel valves, new guides and springs. New aluminum pistons were installed along with new rings, a new 264 3/4 race cam with new solid lifters and pushrods. A new oil pump was also installed. The crank was turned 0.010 on the main journals and 0.020 on the rod journals, new main and rod bearings were fitted to the correct oversize. All seals, gaskets and plugs were also installed.
