A pulsar is an highly magnetized rotating neutron star or a white dwarf that emits a beam of electromagnetic radiation. This phenomenon can be observed (and recorded) on when during their rotational period the emission is pointing towards Earth. • Very very often anyway: pulsars have a rotational period that is ranged from milliseconds to seconds. For instance, PSR J1748-2446ad rotates 716 times per second. Millisecond pulsars have a rotational period in the range of 1- 10 milliseconds. The lowest pulsar observed, PSR J0250-5854, states one time per 23,5 seconds. • (Credits: NASA) • MORE SPACE SOUNDS: • Black holes merging sounds- gravitational waves: • Merging black holes - gravitational w... • Interstellar space: • Sounds from interstellar space • Uranus: • NASA audio from Uranus • Saturn: • Saturn's NASA audio • Big Bang- CMBR: • The Big Bang sound: Cosmic Microwave ... • Solar wind meets Jupiter’s magnetosphere: • Space audio: the solar wind meets Jup... • Jupiter's moon Io sounds: • Sounds from Io - NASA audio • Venera14 recordings of Venus: • Sounds from Venus - Venera14 probe re... • OUR SOCIAL LINKS: • Instagram: / seagull_of_astronomy • Facebook: / seagullofastronomy
