#Shorts - Here's how I feed my sourdough starter with no discard and no waste... • β I keep a jar of leftover sourdough starter in the fridge. The night before I want to bake, I take the jar out of the fridge and feed it. • β I feed my starter according to the recipe I'll be using. If I need 200g of starter total, I'll add 100g of water and 100g of flour to the 5g of leftover starter. Then I mix everything till it's all combined. • β The next morning the starter will have doubled in size! It usually takes about 8-12 hours depending on the temperature of the kitchen. • β Then I use the 200g of starter that I need for my recipe. After that I'll have about 5g of starter leftover in the jar. I just put the jar in the fridge and save it for the next time I'm ready to bake. • Just like that, no need to throw anything away! No discard, no waste. • Want to learn my whole sourdough starter process?
