The Erskine Bridge is a 48-year old overpass crossing over the River Clyde near Glasgow, and we’ve been busy repairing its pipeline in order to make it more efficient for our customers. • Working with our main contractor, J Murphy and Sons Ltd, we have replaced two 1.5km 300m diameter pipelines previously suspended under the bridge with a new 1.9km 450mm pipeline. • Our biggest priority throughout this challenging project has been to minimise disruption to the areas the pipes touch, such as the Antonine Wall, the Kilpatrick railway station and most importantly, the local community. • To find out more about the work we are doing to Erskine Bridge, visit: https://sgn.co.uk/news/mps-commission... • About SGN: • We’re here to keep you safe and warm, all day, every day.
