Fascism and Nazism was not only prevelant in Italy and Germany in the run-up and during the Second World War. The Finnish Fascist Party, also known as the Patriotic People's Movement was a far-right political organization in Finland during the 1930s and early 1940s. Established in 1932, it promoted a nationalist and authoritarian ideology that included anti-communism and anti-Semitism. The movement, led by Vihtori Kosola, sought to emulate fascist movements in Europe, particularly those in Nazi Germany and Italy. The Patriotic People's Movement never gained significant electoral success, but it was known for its paramilitary activities and street violence. The party's influence waned as Finland moved toward a more moderate political climate, especially after the outbreak of World War II and the Continuation War, during which Finland aligned itself with Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union. The party was eventually disbanded after Finland's defeat in World War II. • • #shorts
