The Sphenopalatine Ganglion is also called the Pterygoid Ganglion, the Nasal Ganglion and Meckel's Ganglion. The Sphenopalatine Ganglion is the largest autonomic Parasympathetic Ganglion in the head. The autonomic nervous system controls the flight or fight response and can turn off chronic stress effects on patients and tune down the sympathetic nervous system.
